It was wonderful to have my five songs recorded by mezzo soprano Angelina Dorlin-Barlow and pianist Firoze Madon at the Royal College of Music yesterday. Angelina and Firoze are superb musicians and they entered into the world of the songs and interpreted them with so much imagination and feeling that I was thrilled.
The session was filmed, as well as recorded, and I can’t wait to see the final versions of the music. I know I have learned a lot from this experience and I feel very inspired to compose more songs now. Many thanks also to the excellent audio and film team at the R.C.M. What a memorable day…
