New Music for Viola

I’ve just completed the arrangement of Five Lost Highland Tales for viola and piano. I composed this work two years ago as a prequel to Clan.

In my head the music is about the experiences of this Scottish tribe before the events in Clan happened to them.
So I imagined people in the clan sitting round a fire one evening, telling stories about their lives.

There are five movements – Ballad, Barcarolle, Aria, Lullaby and Passacaglia – and the music can be bought as a complete album or as individual movements. The standard of the music is intermediate and you can listen to a recording of the music. There’s also a string orchestra arrangement if this work, with optional beginner parts, so it could be used for educational or community work. If you’d like to know more please get in touch.
