I’ve just recorded a new work for cello and piano that I composed last year. It’s called Five Lost Highland Tales and it’s a prequel to Clan.

After I composed Clan the imaginary people of the story were still in my head and I felt I needed to write a work that explained something about their lives before the events in Clan happened to them. Five Lost Highland Tales is that work.

 Imagine being able to go back in time and watch a long lost Scottish clan sitting round a fire at night in the HIghlands telling stories about their lives. As the last movement fades you return to the present day and the image vanishes.

The movements are around Grade 4 – 6  and can be played individually or as one complete work.
