I’m so pleased to hear that my new beginner cello and piano book – Wild Cello – is going to be published by Kevin Mayhew in April.
It’s always nerve wracking to send music to publishers: a strange mix of needing to have belief in yourself but also feeling very insecure about what other people will think.
Many thanks to local cellist Ellie Morris for trying out the music with me before I sent it off, so I could make final adjustments.
Over the next month I’ll be recording the piano part of Wild Cello on its own, so that cellists can use it to practise with. This is something I have found very helpful myself when learning new music. Here’s a recording of the third piece in the book:
